CLINTON, N.J. (February 3, 2021) – Unity Bank recently donated $22,500 to nonprofit organizations throughout its service area, a special one time gift on behalf of the bank’s customers. Nine nonprofits representing the bank’s various service regions each received a $2,500 gift.

“Our customers are extremely loyal to the bank and the community, so we wanted to do something special as a tribute to our customers,” said Unity Bank President & CEO James A. Hughes. “As a community bank, we try to help these vital community organizations to the best of our ability. The bank is proud to support local nonprofits through volunteerism, donations, sponsorships, and the bank’s UCare Charitable Giving program.”

The organizations receiving donations are the Center for Hope Hospice & Palliative Care in Union County; Edison Arts Society; EmPoWER Somerset in Somerville; EPIC Foundation in Paramus; Family Promise of Hunterdon County; Hunterdon Helpline in Flemington; Knights of Columbus Sacred Heart in Bethlehem, Pa.; WallynZavy's Autistic Kids Can Do in Plainfield; and Who Is My Neighbor? in Highland Park.
